INTRO - The Three Themes

Due to AI's ability to automatically perform tasks that usually require human intelligence, content creation is getting more accessible, and more deceiving than ever. This leads us to Synthetic Media, any digital content that is fully or partially originated by AI and Machine Learning - the core element of this project.

Synthetic Media is still an emerging concept, but it is already raising several debates and creeping out those who heard of it for the first time, mostly because of its malicious uses. To understand how to ethically use it in Advertising, it is important to be aware of its limits and implications, by also considering the discussions about its potential uses in creative fields. That's what Theme 01 is about.

Fashion is as fascinating and controversial as Synthetic Media. The Fashion industry is always at the forefront of experimenting with emerging technologies by looking at progress, the same progress that is limited by the industry's outdated conventions. Theme 02 analyses various innovative and technological advances in the field, but also some of the challenges that I aim to address in this project.

The uses of Synthetic Media are certainly applicable to the digital, the reason why I decided to focus on an unexplored area, OOH Advertising.

In the past year, when people were often forced to spend time indoors, OOH had been particularly hit hard. Like Synthetic Media and Fashion, Outdoor Advertising is an industry that has several obstacles, but also many advantages to exploit. You will discover them in Theme 03.
